True blue sci-fi geeks like yours truly will love this franchise reboot. Andrew Garfield is particularly good as Peter Parker/Spider-Man but the best thing about this remake is that it takes the story of the Webbed Wonder into anew territory. He wants to know where he comes from and who his parents are. You might think that seeing it in IMAX 3D will distract you from the story, but it really only enhances the whole experience, especially from a technological standpoint. The one thing that is distracting in the IMAX 3D version is the whole love interest thing with Emma Stone. I didn't like the way it felt forced and it doesn't belong in a special effects movie like this. I'm sure they have extra deleted scenes from the climax that they should have included instead. Rather than waiting to see them on the DVD, they should cut out the romance and add them to the IMAX 3D version so that us Spidey lovers get our money's worth.

Ho ho Spidey, you never looked this good before! Imagine watching Spider-Man glide across the Manhattan skyline magnified to five times the normal movie screen size - that's what you get in this IMAX 3D presentation! It is plain exhilarating to see all the twists and turns in the story and in the action on the IMAX screen, especially through 3D glasses that promise to mesmerize you on more than one occasion. The best part is that even though the extra large screen and the 3D effect seem to be the biggest draw, neither of them take away from the fact that this is a movie with tremendous heart and touching scenes that will bring a lump to your throat. I'm not a big fan of superhero flicks but this one is more of a drama with Peter Parker cast as a man in search of his identity. There's lots of action, yes, but there's plenty of story and emotions that make all the rest of it matter.

Well let me start by saying that I was probably the only person in the theater who wasn't a teenage boy - and even though that made me feel kinda oddball, I still really enjoyed Spider-Man in IMAX 3D. There are so many movies that you see in 3D and you don't understand why they wanted to show it in 3D in the first place. Usually, it's a nuisance. But a movie like this, especially on the IMAX screen, takes the 3D to a whole new level. There were many moments in the movie before the climax where people were oohing and aahing at the screen. I think the director has done a good job with the story, but he has really outdone himself in the special effects department. I have no doubt this movie will be a massive hit and that there will be a sequel to follow, but it might make sense to just release it in IMAX 3D. It really is spectacular to behold.

This is a rare movie that looks and feels as amazing in IMAX 3D as it does in any other format. It was a gift to my son for his birthday so I took all of his friends to see the movie and all they have been chattering about since we left is how awesome it was "man" and how they can't believe anything so cool could possibly be real. It makes me chuckle, obviously, but I also enjoyed the movie. It takes a while to get used to the IMAX size of the screen since there's just SO much to see but once you've adjusted you will be fine. The coolest part is to see the giant characters and little special effects come alive in the movie at IMAX size. There's tons to see in this movie, but the really amazing stuff is in the details. Yeah it is pricey to take a whole group of kids to see another movie in IMAX 3D but they really seemed to enjoy it (and so did I) so I am glad we made the trip. A great way to kick off the holiday weekend!

I liked this movie in regular 3D when I saw it but in IMAX 3D it all feels just a bit too much. I'm not sure exactly what happens when they transfer a movie from regular 3D to IMAX 3D but I think they have to process it through some computers because this definitely looked kinda fake and animated at many parts in the film, especially when Spider-Man is scaling the sides of buildings to ward off the authorities and fight the bad guy. I know it's a movie about a grown man in a spider suit, but they should make it look as realistic as possible. Otherwise, it's kinda pointless. You stop believing in the fantasy of the whole thing and start thinking it's all made-up. It's also pretty pricey to see this movie in IMAX 3D so unless you're a diehard fan of the Webbed Crusader or you don't mind throwing your money away on something you may or may not like, you should just see it in a regular format.

Okay, this movie has only been out for like less than 24 hours and I've already seen it TWICE! I knew it was going to be the MOST awesome superhero movie of the summer, but NOTHING prepared me for how FREAKING AMAZING it would be in IMAX 3D!!!!! There were literally parts in this film when my breath was taken away - I think I may have stopped breathing on a few occasions - seriously! The special effects in 3D are STUNNING, but imagine them on an IMAX screen - there's just no way you can replicate that in a regular theater. Andrew Gardfield and Emma Stone are beautiful (duh) but they look even more gorgeous when their faces are like three stories high, lol! I love their chemistry and am so happy that they are dating in real life. They're like my new favorite celebrity couple and I hope they make more amazing movies together, including the sequel to the AMAZING SPIDER MAN, BEST MOVIE OF 2012!!!!!!

I have never seen any of the Spider-Man films and this one was my first one, i know i know it is impossible that I have not see the previous films but it’s true. Anyway, liked this film and I think it is worth the price of the movie ticket. I saw the film in IMAX 3D and i think it was totally worth the extra cash because the film looked incredible. I liked the story and the characters and I think the film was very well made and entertaining, basically it was an pleasant experience overall. Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone were great and I especially liked Garfield’s performance because it felt genuine and relatable.
