I do not know when Hollywood is going to stop to produce homophobic, offensive and stupid comedies, but i really wish it is going to happen very soon, otherwise I will stop going to the theater all together. This film was not funny and it was filled with homophobic jokes that are offensive and absolutely not funny. This comedy is definitely for dudes and it is filled with p**** jokes and overall feeling of it is porny. It is sad that the filmmakers think so little of the audience and I was really offended. I swear this is the last time i am going to see a comedy in the movie theater, it is just not worth it anymore.

I think that this comedy is not worth seeing in the theaters and you would waste your money if you did decide to see it. This comedy simply does not work and it is sad because it could have been a really funny film. I think that the idea of changing bodies is too old and unoriginal and it does not work anymore. I am not sure if Reynolds and Bateman have good chemistry together and I was confused half of the time who is inhibiting who’s body. The film is silly and it really did not make me laugh out loud once and that is not a good sign for a comedy. Overall, do not waste your money and your time.

My mother, sisters & I went to see Change Up as we all love both Jason Bateman & Ryan Reynolds; I've enjoyed RR since Two Guys A Girl & A Pizza Place.

We were extremely disappointed & walked out after the first 10 minutes of the movie. The language was awful & there was too much skin. I cannot believe these two actors would stoop this low & risk ruining their great reputations.

I do not recommend this movie at all, for anyone!

This movie was absolutely stupid and filled with all F words one could imagine. To put this many into this movie requires no imagination nor talent. I am sure the mother (s) of who ever wrote this would be offended!

This is not rocket science--but the screenplay writers for this movie, wrote what to me is, the funniest script of the past several years.
Bateman and Reynolds are awesomely funny as they experience life inside the other person's bodies and face their realities--while also glimpsing their alternate and private views of one another.
Refreshingly funny, hilarious at times...not only a must see, but a must buy DVD for later.
I realize that I'm a salmon on this one--its universally been panned, but don't believe that. Go see it.

Are there no other ideas out there? Switching bodies? Really?! I was greatly disappointed with this film and I am sorry that i have spend my money to see it, it was definitely not worth seeing in the theaters. I probably laughed twice throughout the whole film and that is definitely not enough for a comedy that was directed by David Dobkin, who directed such a great comedy like “Wedding Crashers”. The film is raunchy and it was interesting to see Ryan Reynolds to be this raunchy and straightforward, I liked his performance and I also liked Jason Bateman’s performance, but i do think tha theses actors deserve a better film. Overall, i do not recommend seeing this film in the theaters.

This is a comedy directed by David Dobkin and starring Jason Bateman, Ryan Reynolds and Olivia Wilde. I did not like this film and I do not recommend seeing it in the theaters. It is sad to say because i think that Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds are really funny and they are good actors, unfortunately this film did not let them show off their talents. The film could have been really funny but the plot had too many holes in it and it just did not work. The film has absolutely no imagination and it was like watching a film that I have seen million times before. It is sad to say but this film really sucked.

The Change-Up makes me long for the Fred Savage/Judge Reinhold body switching masterpiece Vice Versa. Or Freaky Friday. Or 18 Again. Yep, just about any body switching film. The movie was written by the guys that wrote The Hangover, and you get what you expect: a body switching comedy high on gross-out humor and little else.

Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds play friends who are complete opposites: Bateman a family man no-fun lawyer, Reynolds a ladies man actor. One drunken night, while pissing in a public fountain (yep, it's that kind of movie) they lament on the other's life, and how they would like to switch. Then they do! This leads to all types of learning about life through someone else's eyes and stuff.

I'm seriously wondering when this "gross-out" wave is finally going to end. It seems like lazy filmmakers are just adding poop humor to existing genres just because it's popular right now. But if you're going to go there, at least do something original or surprising. There's none of that in this movie. Yes, Bateman is funny as usual, and it can be fun watching his slow burn up against Reynolds fast talk, but I just didn't care. The Change-Up is just the same old body swap movie with doody jokes.
