Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Movie Reviews

I likde watching this move and enjoyed it very much. If you know Ghostrider from the comics or the first movie you know what to expect and it delivers. Metaphysical stuff, impossible motorcycle stuff, self-serving and/or deserving revenge stuff with an ironic ending. But just action without good characters is not gonna cut it by itself. So I'm happy to report the casting and characters are excellent and its done with a twist of humor but still maintains its intensity.
I love B movies. I like to find the good in those films that everyone else berates as second to worst. To find some appreciation where others might have overlooked. That being said, GHOSTRIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE isn't worth the time I'm taking to type this review. I dragged MYSELF to this movie, and I hate myself for doing it. Where's a flux capacitor when you need one?! I want 1 hour and 35 minutes of my life back.
It's a steadfast practice of mine to compliment at least one aspect of a film out of sheer politeness, no matter how bad it is/was...in this case, I'd have to say it was the previews. Of the other movies.
Francis Ford Coppola must be absolutely mortified--heinously disappointed in his nephew Nicolas Cage. At the same time he's most likely blissfully thankful that Nick changed his last name to Cage, lest he bring shame to the Coppola name for starring in this train wreck of a film. Sorry, Francis--we know. My heart goes out to you & your family.
Y'know, just a couple hours ago I was thinking, "Gee, should I go see 'Ghostrider: Spirit of Vengenace', or should I gouge myself in the eyeball with a rusty 5000RPM dentist's drill?" In retrospect, I'm thinkin' I'd look pretty damn sexy with an eye patch. And depth perception is overrated.
As a girl I hated this film and I do not recommend seeing it in the theaters but I can see how teenage boys might enjoy it because it is full of action and silly characters that make no sense whatsoever. I was incredibly bored throughout the film but I tried to stay positive and find some things that are alright about this film, like the scenery was really beautiful because it was filmed in Turkey and Romania, i also thought some of the action scenes were pretty good. However, everything else about this film was pretty terrible, it was very uneven and chaotic and i had no idea what exactly was going on. Nicolas Cage was alright but i do not see him as an actor anymore, i think of him as a person who appears in movies in order to pay off his debts and nothing else.
I took my 13 year old nephew to see this film because he was begging me for a week and I of course had a terrible time watching this film but my nephew loved it and that is all it matters to me. I mean this film is ridiculous and a normal adult should not see it because I think it literally kills brain cells. However, teenage boys will probably like it because it has macho characters, special effects and insanely silly dialogue. This film was made for a very specific audience and that audience will be happy with this film. My nephew loved this film and he thanked me like hundred times for taking him to see this movie, so Nicolas Cage lost the respect of grown-ups but gained the respect and admiration of teenage boys.
Well, I have not seen the first movie and I am glad I did not because if it was as bad as this one then I am sure glad I d not waste my money. My boyfriend dragged me to this film and I kind of hate him for that. This film was so ridiculous and stupid that I wanted to leave in first 10 minutes. The story is really dumb and boring and all the characters in this film are overblown and silly, I think Nicolas Cage does not care about his career anymore and money is the only thing he cares about. The dialogue in this film is so funny and not in a good way, I really wish I did not waste my time on this film. Overall, this film sucked and I do not recommend seeing it in the theaters.
