I always thought Katy Perry was a Mormon for some reason, but this movie puts that and all other rumors about her to rest. It's a fantastic doc**entary that combines her own insights and revelations with footage from her California Dreamin' concert tour which attracted rabid fans from all over the world. I was at her concert in Los Angeles when it happened and let me say that watching it on screen is almost as amazing as seeing it live. I could not believe how much they were able to capture. She really is an amazing entertainer and knows how to put on a show like no other. She combines fun and creativity to make you feel like you're in the presence of a higher awareness, someone who isn't bogged down by all the normal constraints of trying to fit in or be cool. She is uber cool, of course, but more than that she's just herself. And nothing is cooler than that.

Katy Perry is a damn fine entertainer, but she's also a really interesting person. You don't have to be a diehard fan of hers to appreciate how she opens up in this doc**entary about her life and her pre-stardom ambitions. She's definitely not like other pop divas out there who only seem to be interested in furthering their own careers and personas. She really loves her fans, and you can tell that she's as touched by them as they are by her whenever she comes across them. The costumes they wear are almost as outrageous as hers usually are, but it's always done to flatter, never to insult. The movie really comes alive when Perry is on stage, regaling the crowd with her greatest hits while they sing along. The crowd I saw the movie with also started singing along in the theater! She's just so inspiring and lovely, you almost can't help yourself, even if it means embarrassing yourself in public. Katy, you're a firework!

I love Katy Perry and I loved this film and if you are a fan I highly recommend seeing it in the theaters. I think even people who do not like her music will enjoy this film because it is very well made, it is interesting and compelling. Katy Perry is a great entertainer and I love that she allowed cameras to show her glorious moments as well as very difficult moments, i really respect her for that. You can hate Perry’s music but after seeing this film you will not be able to say that she is not hard-working because she works her butt off every single day and that just reminds the rest of us that you have to work very hard in order for your dreams to come true.

First of all i have to confess that I dislike Katy Perry and i think she has no talent, no voice and overall she pretty much sucks in my book. Having said that, I will review this film as if I was a fan because otherwise I will be biased. I know that fans of Katy Perry will see and love this film anyway and they will not care about the reviews. Anyway, I thought the doc**entary was quite interesting and personal and I think if you like Perry’s music you will have a great time watching this film. There are couple of moments in the film where we really see Perry as a person who is just like us and has her issues and problems and I really enjoyed those moments. Overall, I think this film is pretty good and even if you are not a fan you will most likely have a good time watching it.

My girls love Katy Perry: I mean LOVE her. She's always playing on their iPods and laptops so I knew I was going to be seeing this with them when it came out. My favorite part is how Katy always seems so touched and humbled the fans who so clearly love her more than life itself. She seems like any other girl but with a slightly kooky personality who likes to have fun whenever possible.
The concert scenes are really amazing and fun and we all had a blast whenever they came on. Katy's parents and sister gave a lot of interviews in the doc**entary and they share the struggle that Katy went through to be who she is. I like that as a parent because my kids now realize that there is so much more to being a celebrity and pop star than just showing up and behaving like a princess. I would recommend this to anyone with kids who love Katy Perry. It's a lot of fun and has a good message.

I think Katy Perry is talented and has some catchy songs, but while watching this movie I could feel her hand controlling the camera. It's a weird thing to say, I know, but I never got the feeling that anything she didn't want to be filmed was shown. It's all very positive about her and presents her as a kind of fairy godmother to her fans who love and worship her. The movie follows her on her California Dreamin' tour and it's a lot of really spectacular live performances interlaced with montages of fans dressed up as Katy Perry or crying hysterically at the fact that they get to stand in her presence. She seems very sweet to them and she obviously loves them back, I just wish that they had showed some of the darker things involved in being a pop star. Since she was married to Russell Brand after all, I'm sure she knows a lot about things that the public doesn't think she is engaged in. Strictly for fans of Katy Perry tho.

Woo chile! What is there not to like about Katy Perry?!? Not much, I'm glad to report, since she is the new Queen of Pop with the MOST top 40 hits that everyone knows the SECOND they start playing. This is a fantabulous movie starring the awesome pop diva that gives diehard fans like me and others a glimpse into what makes Katy Perry who she is - how she got her start, where she came from, what kind of family she was raised by, and how she creates her music. It's just SO in-depth and full of amazing interviews and insights that even if you aren't the world's biggest Katy Perry (liek me, duh!) then you will probably become one by the end. This is a much better movie than the Michael Jackson or Justin Bieber movies were- I'm still not why La Biebs was in 3D, there was like NO point to that. Just kidding, I'm no hater, but seriously, Katy Perry is my queen! Love her, only wish this movie was longer. Gonna see it in 3D too! Peace, my lovelies!
