MOVIE SUCKED. VERY CLICH'E. every single clich'e was used. DO NOT WATCH THIS FILM. IF YOU WANT TO GET PISSED, AND HATE EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF YOUR INNOCENT AND MEANINGFUL LIFE, GO AHEAD AND WATCH THIS FILM. i am sorry for not being logical and being very bizzare with my word spacing, but, hell, i just wasted two and a half hours of my life watching something i have watched three billion times before. after the movie i just said "screw it" and i just went to hooters. M. Night Shyamalan could have done a better job.....................wait, actully no, that would have sucked too.

This film was absolutely ridiculous and full of silly cliches and in the same time it was very entertaining. I was rolling my eyes throughout this film but I can not deny that I also had fun watching it, I guess I will classify this film under guilty pleasures. There is absolutely no logic in this film and most of the time it is hard to understand what exactly is going on but in all that chaos you will find yourself quite entertained. I am not really sure why Pearce is in this film but he definitely makes it a bit better and more fun to watch. Overall, if you are looking for a movie to entertain you and nothing else, look no further.

The premise for "Lockout" is so ridiculous, you would figure it was a joke. Hey, I did when I saw the trailer. I figured this was going to be a fun play on the action genre. Turns out, it's just another stupid action movie, albeit with a pretty good premise. There is a prison riot on M.S. One, a maximum security facility orbiting Earth. On it, the President's daughter, visiting on a fact finding mission. The prisoners take her hostage, so the government sends up Snow, an ex-CIA operative, to bring her back. Thus begins a lot of physics defying action sequences and horrible dialog. The problem here is that the film is somewhere in the middle of taking itself too seriously and not taking itself seriously enough. The trailers would have you believe it's going to be goofy fun, but it's standard issue modern day action, cut way too fast, with no sense of story and no care for characterization. The only glimmer of goodness is Guy Pearce, who, as Snow, plays a really good Snake Plisken. It's too bad he couldn't find a better movie to try this shtick in. I'm hoping someone else will give him a chance to become an action hero, because he's got chops. This just isn't the movie for him, and really, no one else.

I know critics hated this film but they are usually too harsh because I liked this film and had a lot of fun watching it. It is definitely cheesy and full of cliches, stereotypes and pretty bad special effects but it is a kind of B style of film that is entertaining and silly and I do not regret seeing it in the theaters. The film has a lot of funny and witty one liners that are perfectly delivered by Guy Pearce who is pretty awesome in this film. The film is not original and it reminded me of Besson’s “Fifth Element” (no wonder there, Luc Besson is the producer of this film) but i did not mind that because I loved that film. Overall, I thought this film was fun to watch and I think a lot of people will agree with me.

I know that critics will hate on this film and call it mediocre and silly but I had a great time watching it and I am not ashamed. It is one of those films that you know is bad but you still like it because it is entertaining and fun to watch, this film was exactly that. It is not original or well made but Guy Pearce is awesome in it and he has kick ass one liners and overall he does a really good job with his role. I was kind of disappointed with special effects in this movie because it looked like a videogame most of the time and the quality of this film would have increased so much if the special effects were better. Otherwise, I had loads of fun watching this film and i think it is worth seeing in the theaters because it is entertaining and interesting.

This is a sci-fi thriller about a man who was wrongly convicted of conspiracy against U.S and is given an opportunity to regain his freedom by rescueing president’s daughter from an outer space prison that is taken over by inmates, the film is directed by James Mather and Stephen St. Leger and stars Guy Pearce, Maggie Grace and Peter Stormare. I did not like this film and do not recommend seeing it in the theaters. The film is poorly made and some of the special effects look very bad, it is definitely B type of movie but it is watchable. The film is ridden with cliches and stereotypes and it borrows heavily from other films like “Fifth Element”. I did like Guy Pearce in this film and I wish I saw him more in better films than this one. I also highly enjoyed the one liners that Pearce kept on delivering, unfortunately it did not save the film. Overall, I think this film is not worth seeing in the theaters but renting it might be fun.
