I thought this movie was cute, if not exactly the best. It stars Julia Roberts as the Queen in the story of Snow White. Lily Collins plays Snow White who has skin as white as snow and hair the color of ebony. You know the story.

Armie Hammer (is that his real name?) is the prince who both women like - well, the Queen likes him, and he likes Snow White. So it's kind of a love triangle. Nathan Lane is pretty funny in his part as Brighton, the Queen's servant.

I was kind of hoping for a cute love story like "Enchanted" but this movie is not really like that at all. It has it moments - mostly between Julia and Armie - but I think it would have been a lot better if it were more about Snow White. If they make a sequel, hopefully they can change that.

This movie was absolutely adorable! I loved every minute of it, I must say, especially since it stars my all-time favorite actress, Julia Roberts. The story is obviously that of Snow White, though once upon a time you might have expected to see Julia in the role of Snow White; here, however, she is cast as the Queen, though she's not especially evil. She's definitely not a nice lady, but she's more of a bumbling spinster than anything else. She has her eyes set on the Prince but of course he only has eyes for Snow White.

Snow White is played by Lily Collins and she is the perfect picture of innocence and sweetness. After watching the movie, I kind of wished my daughters were more like her, lol, but I guess that's why they call it make-believe! Definitely a great family movie that everyone can enjoy. I think I even liked it more than my kids did, which is saying something.

Eh, this one could have been much better. It's the story of Snow White but there's just nothing exciting about it, even with Armie Hammer and Julia Roberts. Roberts is probably the best in the cast because she is trying to play the Evil Queen in a way that we haven't seen her before, but even her performance doesn't make the movie engaging. It kind of feels like you're watching a school play. Everything feels like "dress up" but there's very little imagination that went into this movie.

Nathan Lane is decent in his role, delivering the kind of jokes and one liners you'd expect, and Armie Hammer does the best he can with his character, but the girl who plays Snow White is a major disappointment. I think I heard that she is Phil Collins's daughter - maybe she should try her hand at singing and music because I don't think acting or movies is her calling. Sorry, but she's just not good.

I think children will like this film because it is silly and it looks really great but adults should not expect much. I took my niece to see it and she had a great time while I just enjoyed the pretty picture. I did not like how the director modernized the story and I found it to be pretty dumbed down and it lost the beauty and the message of this fairy tale. The film does not really have any substance therefore all the characters are just there to spit out silly dialogue and look energetic. However, this film was created for a younger audience and all of the children in the theater seemed to enjoy it so i guess the film succeeds in that way.

I did not go to see this film with high expectations and had a pretty good time watching this film. It was beautiful to look at and if you have children in your life I suggest seeing this film with them. As an adult I judged this film on a different level and found that the performances were kind of dull and the lead actors did not have much chemistry with each other. The film was also a little bit messy but there were a lot of great moments in the film, I just wish there were more great moments for adults. Like I said before, children will most likely love this film and enjoy the characters and the action.

Mirror Mirror is the first of two Snow White films to hit theaters this year. This one is a much lighter take on the story than the upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman. You figure lighter would translate into a funny, fun romp, but unfortunately, you'd be wrong. This movie, while nice to look at, is surprisingly boring. It's the story of Snow White, but with some tweaks. After the King disappears into the forest, the Queen is in charge of a kingdom with a failing economy, though this does not stop her from continuing to be her vain self. When a rich prince shows up, she sees a meal ticket, but the prince has already met Snow White. You get the Seven Dwarfs, who in this incarnation are little Robin Hoods. All of these changes don't really add up to much. This film tries really hard to be hip, and that's the problem. Hip only works when it doesn't have to try so hard, and this movie tries way too hard to be hip. Unfortunately, it doesn't try that hard to be funny. There are sporadic jokes, but mostly, it's a bore. The acting is just as down, with only Julia Roberts and a couple of the dwarfs really trying at all. Everyone else seems to be going through the motions. Visually, it's pretty neat, with incredible costumes and sets. This isn't surprising with a visual stylist like Tarsem at the helm. Unfortunately, he just doesn't know what to do with actors or a script, so we're left with what amounts to a gorgeous painting of dogs playing poker.

I took my little niece to see this film and we both had a good time watching this film so I recommend seeing it in the theaters. It is a modern take on an old fairy tale and I liked the way the director re-imagined it. The film is fast-paced, it is beautiful to look at and I really enjoyed the characters and the way the actors brought them to life. I thought that Julia Roberts was amazing and i really loved her as an evil queen. The film was sweet and charming and highly entertaining for my little niece and myself. The film made me laugh and I like the director tried to make this film feel current and it had some important messages. Overall, I liked this film and I think it is worth seeing in the theaters.
