NOO STARS! One star was reaching. The bad accents were horrible, but the dialogue wasn't even matching the time! The story line was horrific at best. Even the animation sucked. The best part was the scenery which was mediocre at best. The acting was terrible. Please take a test to see if your crazy if you liked this movie.

January is known as the time when Hollywood throws out the garbage. Movies that have been sitting in the vault, get tossed into theaters in the hopes that they'll make a small profit before they disappear into the abyss. Season of the Witch is one of those films. It's bad, but not in a good way.
It's the Dark Ages, and a plague hangs over Europe. It may be the fault of witchcraft, so Nic Cage (who seems to do anything for a paycheck these days) and that dude from Hellboy have to deliver a witch to a monastery so she can go through an exorcism.
This movie is a mess of bad dialogue, bad accents and worse CGI. It's dark and brooding and no fun at all. The plague would have been more enjoyable than this dreck.

Nicolas Cage’s new movie, Season of the Witch, is about a medieval knight who returns to his home in central Europe to find his homeland has been destroyed by the black plague. Upon his return he is tasked with taking a young girl through safe passage to her trial, where she is thought to be the one responsible for causing the plague. Overall, the movie was nothing special. It was entertaining enough to justify me seeing it, but just barely. The acting was definitely below par, but the very cool visuals made up for that. Nicolas Cage has gone downhill lately but I can say that I did enjoy this movie. He has done a lot of “save the world” movies lately, one of my favorites being National Treasure. This isn’t as good as National Treasure but I would suggest seeing it as an easy, non-thinking, family movie.

Season of the Witch is the new movie starring Nicolas Cage. Nicolas Cage is definitely one of my favorite actors. At first, I thought this movie was the sequel to the other very similar wizard movie Nicolas Cage made last year called The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Based on the trailers, these two movies seemed very similar. However, they are not related in any way. Season of the Witch is a supernatural thriller where Cage stars as medieval knight Behmen who of course must take on an evil witch who threatens to destroy the world. Nicolas Cage has been doing a lot of these types of movies lately, as illustrated by the very similar movie The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. I did very much like this movie. It was exactly what I expected. There were very nice visuals and the storyline was simple. If you are looking for a simple but entertaining movie I would absolutely recommend seeing Season of the Witch. Everything about the movie was average but as I said, it all made for an entertaining film.
